Announcements
The in-app inbox where 12sell tells you about new features, regional offers, and platform updates — and how to manage what you see.
12sell sends important platform messages — new features, regional offers, system updates, security advisories — through an in-app announcements inbox. Unlike push notifications, announcements don't interrupt; they wait for you in your inbox, where you can read them on your own time.
The inbox is not the same as your message inbox. Messages from other users live in Messaging. Announcements from 12sell live in the announcements inbox.
Where to find it
- Web — there's a notifications/inbox icon in the navbar. Tap it to open the announcements panel.
- iOS / Android — same icon, same panel.
A small unread count badge tells you how many announcements you haven't read yet.
What's in an announcement
Each announcement contains:

When you tap an announcement, it opens a detail view and is automatically marked as read.
What kinds of announcements you'll see

Filters
Inside the inbox you have two filter tabs at the top:
- All — every announcement, read or unread.
- Unread — only the ones you haven't opened yet.
Use Unread to triage quickly when the badge is high.
Managing announcements
- Tap an announcement → opens detail and marks as read.
- Mark all as read → bulk-clear the unread badge from the inbox header.
- Action button (when present) → opens the linked page (e.g. takes you to the relevant feature).
You can't delete or hide announcements yourself — they age out of the inbox as new ones arrive. The system keeps your most recent set.
How announcements differ from notifications

Announcements are kept low-frequency on purpose — usually a handful per month for active users, with occasional bursts around launches or regional events.
Why don't I see any?
A few reasons:
- Your account is brand new — new accounts may need a few weeks before non-trivial announcements get sent.
- Your region isn't in the current campaign — announcements are often segmented by country, industry, or activity level.
- Announcement filters apply — 12sell sometimes targets specific user segments (e.g. only verified accounts, or only users in MENA region).
If you've been on 12sell for a while and never see anything, it usually just means there's nothing relevant to you right now.
Common questions
Can I unsubscribe from announcements?
Announcements are platform messages — there's no opt-out. They're delivered through the inbox precisely so they don't interrupt you. If you want quieter, just don't open the inbox.
Will announcements push a notification to my phone?
Most announcements don't push — they appear silently in your inbox. Major platform updates may include a single push notification when they go out; everything else is inbox-only.
Can I see old announcements I've already read?
Yes — switch to the All tab in the inbox to see your full announcement history.
Are announcements the same on web, iOS, and Android?
Yes. The same inbox, the same announcements, same read state. Read on web → it's marked read on your phone too.
What's an "action button" for?
When 12sell announces a new feature, the action button takes you straight to it. For regional offers, it might open a relevant landing page. Action buttons open in a new tab on web; on mobile they deep-link into the app where applicable.
What if I tap an action button and it leaves the app?
External links (e.g. to a partner's site) open in your browser. Internal links stay in 12sell.
Why did I get an announcement that doesn't apply to me?
Targeting is good, not perfect. If something feels off-topic, just close it — it's marked read and won't bother you again.
How do I report a malicious announcement?
12sell announcements come from the platform team — they're not user-generated. If something feels phishing-like (asking for password, payment info, suspicious links), it's not a real announcement. Contact support immediately.
