12sell docs

Settings

Everything you can configure on your 12sell account — profile, theme, tokens, privacy, devices, blocked users, cookies, account deletion, and more.

The Settings page is where you manage your 12sell account — your business profile, your appearance preferences, your tokens, your privacy, your devices, and your verification status.

You reach Settings the same way on every platform:

  • Web — top-right profile menu → Settings.
  • iOS / Android — Profile tab → Settings icon.

This page walks through every section in order.

Account section

The biggest block in Settings — covers the parts of your account you'll touch most often.

Profile Settings

Opens the profile editor where you can change:

  • Profile photo — replace your avatar anytime.
  • Business title — the public name your business goes by. Same rules as at sign up: max 18 characters, must be unique.
  • Industry — the broad industry your business operates in.
  • Country — your business location.
  • Business description — a short blurb shown on your profile.
  • Password — open the change-password flow. If you signed in with email and password, you'll enter your current password first; if you signed up with Google or Apple and never set a password, this appears as Set Password so you can add an email-and-password login.

Save when you're done. Changes go live immediately on your profile and across Deals, Showcases, Tales, and Messaging.

My Interests

Opens a page showing what your feed thinks you like — the categories, subcategories, brands, country, and condition 12sell uses to rank your Deals and Showcases feeds. From here you can:

  • See your top interests as chips.
  • Add an interest you want more of.
  • Remove one that no longer fits (this also tells the feed to show you less of it).

This profile is also shaped automatically by what you like, message, search, and mark Not interested. See Hide & Block → Tuning your feed.

Theme

Pick how 12sell looks on this device:

  • Light — bright background.
  • Dark — dark background.
  • System — follows your device's OS theme automatically.

The choice is per device, so you can have dark on your phone and light on your laptop.

Earn Free Tokens

Opens the Referrals page where you can:

  • See your referral code and customize it (once).
  • Copy or share the code.
  • Track every invitee, their status, and total tokens earned.

This is the cheapest way to grow your token balance.

Token Transactions

A complete log of every token credit and debit on your account:

  • Earnings — sign-up bonus, referrals, promotions.
  • Spending — boosts, reposts, verification fees.
  • Purchases — every Stripe / Apple In-App / Google Play top-up.

Useful for accounting and to understand exactly where your tokens have gone.

Connections

Manage your public social links — the links shown on your profile so other 12sell users can find you on:

  • Website
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
  • WhatsApp
  • Telegram
  • Other platforms

These help validate your business at a glance and shorten your Verification review when you apply.

Privacy Settings

Opens the privacy sub-page with:

(Each is detailed below.)

Verification

Opens the Verification flow. The label changes based on your status:

Manage Company / My Company

Visible if your account is linked to a verified Company:

  • OwnerManage Company opens the company profile editor and members tab. From here you also manage Private Lists.
  • MemberMy Company shows the Company profile, your role, and lets you leave the Company.

A Company is created automatically when you complete Verification.

Privacy sub-page

Opened from Privacy Settings.

Active Devices

Shows every device currently signed into your 12sell account:

  • Platform (web, iOS, Android).
  • Approximate location (from IP) and last active time.
  • Device model.

You can revoke any device — that device is signed out immediately and must enter your password to come back. Use this if you suspect someone else has access, or after switching phones.

Blocked Users

The list of users you've blocked. Blocked users:

  • Can't message you.
  • Can't see your profile, deals, showcases, or tales.
  • Don't appear in your search.
  • You become invisible to them.

You can unblock anyone from this list to restore normal interaction.

Manages which cookies 12sell uses on the web:

  • Necessary (always on) — login, basic functionality.
  • Analytics — anonymized product usage signals to help improve the platform.
  • Marketing — to understand which campaigns brought you here.

You can change preferences anytime. The web banner you saw on first visit is the same control.

Delete Account

Permanent. Deleting your account removes:

  • Your profile.
  • All your deals, showcases, and tales (active and expired).
  • All your messages.
  • Your token balance and transaction history.
  • Your referral code (existing referrals you've made are kept anonymized for the people you invited).

There is no recovery. If you want to take a break, signing out (below) is the right choice — your data stays intact and you can come back anytime.

App Lock (mobile)

On Android, you can add an extra layer of security after sign-in:

  1. Go to Settings → App Lock.
  2. Turn on App Lock.
  3. Pick the unlock timeout: Immediately, 1 minute, 15 minutes, or 1 hour.
  4. Pick the unlock method: fingerprint, face, or your device PIN/password/pattern as fallback.

Once enabled, the app re-prompts for biometric authentication every time the timeout passes. App Lock doesn't sign you out — it just gates access on this device. See Sign In → App Lock for more.

Notifications

Configure what triggers a push, email, or SMS notification. Open Settings → Notifications to control:

  • Master switch — turn all notifications on or off.
  • New deals — notifications for deals matching your interests, with modes like Off, From people I follow, or All matches.
  • New showcases — same modes for Showcases.
  • Private list activity — notifications for activity in private lists you're a member of.
  • Messages — push for new chat messages, in both one-to-one and group chats (always on by default; mute per-conversation or per-group in Messaging).
  • Reactions — notifications when someone reacts to your messages.

Email digests and (for verified accounts) SMS alerts are configurable separately.

Mobile Applications

A shortcut to download the iOS and Android apps. If you signed up on web, this is where to send the apps to your phone — your account works the same across all three.

Support

About 12sell

An in-app FAQ that explains the platform fundamentals — what 12sell is, how posting and trading work, tokens, boost and money, verification and trust, and privacy and account questions. It's a categorized accordion you can browse without leaving the app, and a good first stop before contacting support. (This same ground is covered in more depth across this documentation site.)

Contact us

Opens an email or in-app contact form to reach the 12sell team. Use this for help with your account, billing issues, or platform questions.

Links to:

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • Cookie Policy
  • Child Safety Policy

These are also reachable from 12sell.app at any time.

Log out

The red Log Out button at the bottom of Settings signs you out of this device. 12sell asks you to confirm first so an accidental tap doesn't end your session.

Logging out:

  • Clears your session on this device only. Other signed-in devices stay signed in.
  • Doesn't delete anything — your account, deals, messages, and tokens are unchanged.
  • You sign back in with your email and password, or with Google or Apple. See Sign In.

To sign out of every device at once, open Privacy Settings → Active Devices and revoke each one.

Common questions

How do I change my email or phone number?

Phone number changes require contacting support — your phone is your primary identity at Sign Up. Email is editable from Profile Settings, with a verification step on the new address.

How do I change my password?

Settings → Profile Settings → Change Password. You'll need your current password. If you've forgotten it, sign out and use Forgot Password instead.

Why don't I see "App Lock" on web?

App Lock is a mobile-device feature — it gates access on a specific phone. The web doesn't have an equivalent because browser sessions are gated by your device's OS user account. Use Active Devices to revoke a web session if you need to.

Can I export my data?

Contact support — they'll provide an export of your account data on request. This is separate from deleting your account.

What's the difference between signing out and deleting my account?

Signing out keeps everything intact — you just need to enter your password next time. Deleting is permanent and removes all your content, messages, and tokens with no recovery. If you're not sure, sign out.

Will my settings sync across devices?

Profile changes (photo, business title, country) sync immediately. Theme is per-device. Notification preferences are per-account and apply across web, iOS, and Android.

Where do I find Private Lists?

Private Lists are managed from your profile or under Settings → Manage Company. Only verified Company owners can create them.
