Company
How company profiles work on 12sell — created automatically on verification, with a public profile, member roles, and shared content access.
A Company on 12sell is the public, verified identity of your business. It's created automatically the first time you complete Verification — the company profile is built from the documents and information you submitted during the verification wizard.
A Company isn't just a label. It comes with three concrete capabilities:
- A public company profile — a polished page on 12sell that buyers and sellers can find.
- Members with verified status — invite the people on your team and each of them gets a verified badge through the company, without going through individual verification.
- Access to higher-trust features like creating Private Lists for distributors and repeat customers.
How a Company is created
You don't create a Company manually. The flow is:
- Complete Verification (3,000 tokens, 1-year validity).
- Once approved, 12sell automatically creates your Company with the data from your verification application — name, logo, country, website, social links, description, employee count, categories, brands.
- You become the owner of the Company.
Owner vs Member
Every Company has exactly one owner (the user who completed verification) and any number of members (invited users).
| Role | Who | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The user who verified the business | Edit the Company profile, invite/remove members, create Private Lists, extend or renew Verification |
| Member | Invited users (e.g. teammates, salespeople) | Display the Company badge on their profile, post deals and showcases under the Company's verified umbrella |
Members can be assigned roles like Salesman, Director, Manager, CEO, or any custom title.
Managing your Company (owner)
From Settings → Manage Company, you'll see two tabs:
Profile tab
Edit any field on the Company profile:
- Company name
- Your role (CEO, Director, Manager, or custom)
- Country and location
- Landline (optional)
- Number of employees
- Logo
- Business description
- Website, Instagram, LinkedIn (online presence)
- Categories, subcategories, and brands the company trades in
Changes are saved immediately and reflected on the public Company profile.
Members tab
Manage your team:
- Invite a member — search any 12sell user by their business title. Pick the user, assign a role (Salesman by default; pick from the dropdown or enter a custom role), and tap Invite.
- Pending invites — see who you've invited and who hasn't accepted yet.
- Active members — see everyone currently in the Company.
- Remove a member — revoke their Company status anytime.
When you invite someone, they see a banner at the top of their app that reads "X has invited you to join Company Name. Your role: Y. If you accept, your profile will show this company name and your role with a verified badge." They can accept or dismiss.
Joining a Company (member)
If a verified business invites you, you'll see the invitation banner the next time you open 12sell. You don't need to be verified yourself.
When you accept:
- Your profile starts displaying the Company name and your role.
- You get the verified badge — visible to other 12sell users on your deals, showcases, tales, and in messaging.
- You're listed as a member on the Company's public profile.
- You inherit access to the Company's Private Lists (if applicable).
If you dismiss the invite, nothing changes on your account.
You can be a member of only one Company at a time. To switch, leave the current Company first.
Your Company view (member)
If you're a member (not owner), Settings shows My Company instead of Manage Company. The page lets you:
- View the Company profile.
- See your role and other members.
- Leave the Company at any time.
You can't edit Company info as a member — only the owner can.
The public Company profile
Your verified Company has a polished, public profile on 12sell, separate from the personal profiles of the owner and members. It shows:
- Logo, name, country, location.
- Business description.
- Website, Instagram, LinkedIn.
- Verified badge.
- Categories, subcategories, brands.
- The full list of members with their roles.
- The Company's showcases.
Other businesses can find your Company through search and through any team member's profile (each member's profile links back to the Company).
What members can post
Members post deals, showcases, and tales under their own profile, but with the Company badge attached. To buyers and sellers, every team member appears as a credible part of the same verified business.
This is how a verified team scales activity on 12sell — five salespeople posting under one verified Company is far more powerful than five separate accounts.
Verification renewal and the Company
When your Verification expires (1 year after approval) or is renewed, the Company status follows:
- Verified → Company badge active for everyone.
- Expired → Company badge removed for everyone (members lose the badge until renewal).
- Renewed → Badge restored automatically.
Owners can extend the Verification anytime for 3,000 tokens. Members can ask the owner to renew if their badge has dropped.
Common questions
Do I need a Company to use 12sell?
No. Companies are an optional layer for verified businesses with teams. Solo verified users have a Company too, but with just themselves as owner — they don't need to invite anyone.
Can a member be in two Companies?
No. One Company per user at a time. To move, leave the first Company and accept an invite from another.
Do members need to verify themselves?
No. Members inherit the verified badge through the Company. The Owner is the one who verified — members benefit from that.
What if I want to leave the Company?
Open Settings → My Company → Leave. You'll lose the Company name and badge on your profile. Your deals, showcases, and messages stay with you.
What happens if the owner deletes their account?
The Company becomes inactive and members lose the badge. Plan ownership transitions through 12sell support before the owner steps away.
Can a Company have its own deals and showcases?
Members post under their personal profiles with the Company badge. The Company itself doesn't post directly — but the Company profile aggregates members' showcases into one branded gallery, and any team member can post the Company's stock under their name.
Why don't I see "Manage Company" in my Settings?
Either you haven't verified yet — start with Verification — or you're a member rather than an owner, in which case it's labeled My Company.
Can I rename the Company?
Yes — owners can edit the company name in Manage Company → Profile. Use this carefully; the name is what your customers know you by.
What if a member misbehaves?
Owners can remove members instantly from the Members tab. The removed user loses the Company badge but keeps their personal account.
