Profile

Your 12sell profile — what other businesses see, how to make it strong, and how to share it with anyone.

Your profile is the public face of your business on 12sell. Every deal, showcase, tale, and message links back to it. A strong profile gets more clicks, more replies, and more closed deals.

Each profile has a unique shareable URL in the form https://web.12sell.app/user/{your-profile-slug} that you can paste anywhere — WhatsApp, email, business cards, social bios.

Editing your profile

Open SettingsProfile Settings. You can change:

  • Profile photo (replace anytime).
  • Business title (still must be unique, 18 characters max).
  • Industry.
  • Country.
  • Business description.
  • Password.

Saved changes are visible everywhere your profile appears — across web, iOS, and Android — within seconds.

Your profile URL (slug)

Every account has a profile slug generated when you sign up — a short, unique identifier that makes your URL clean.

For example, if your business is "AlphaPhones", your URL might be:

https://web.12sell.app/user/alphaphones

This URL:

  • Works on web, iOS, and Android (the mobile apps deep-link into your profile when someone taps it).
  • Is permanent — even if you change your business title, the slug stays the same so old links never break.
  • Is what you should share when you want someone to find you on 12sell.

Sharing your profile

Open your profile and tap Share. You can:

  • Copy the link to paste anywhere.
  • Share via WhatsApp, email, SMS, or any installed share target.
  • Send the share message"Check out my profile on 12sell and follow me!" with the URL appended.

If a recipient is signed into 12sell on web, the link opens your profile directly. If they're not signed in, they land on a public preview with a Sign up to message call-to-action.

If they tap the link from a phone with the 12sell app installed, the app deep-links straight to your profile thanks to Android App Links and iOS Universal Links.

Following

Other businesses can follow your profile by tapping Follow. Following someone:

  • Adds their content to the Following filter on the Deals and Showcases feeds.
  • Makes their Tales appear at the top of your home feed.
  • Optionally triggers notifications when they post new content (configurable in Notifications).

You can see a count of followers on your own profile. Other users see your follower count on your public profile too — it's a trust signal in B2B context.

Viewing other profiles

Tap any business title or avatar — on a deal, in a chat, in a feed — and you land on that user's profile. From there you can:

  • Follow them.
  • Message them.
  • Browse their deals and showcases.
  • View their company if they're a verified company member.
  • Hide their content from your feed (see Hide & Block).
  • Block them entirely.
  • Report the profile if it breaks the rules (see Reporting & Safety).

Tips for a profile that wins business

The single biggest factor in 12sell reply rates is profile credibility. The pattern that converts:

  • Use a clear, professional logo or photo. No stock placeholders, no defaults. Profiles with the default avatar get a fraction of the messages.
  • Write a real description. Two or three sentences on what you sell, who you serve, and what makes you credible. Empty descriptions feel like fake accounts.
  • Verify your business. A verified badge dramatically increases reply rates and search ranking.
  • Keep showcases fresh. A profile with 5–10 active showcases signals an active business; an empty profile signals a tire-kicker.
  • Post tales regularly. Even one tale a week shows you're a live business. Profiles that haven't posted in months get less engagement.
  • Connect your social pages. Add Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram, or WhatsApp from Settings → Connections — buyers often check these before messaging.

Common questions

Can I change my profile slug?

The slug is permanent to keep shared links working. You can change your business title (the displayed name) but the URL slug stays. Contact support if you have a strong reason to change it.

Why is my profile flag wrong?

Your country flag is set from the country picked at sign up. Update it from Settings → Profile Settings → Country.

Can I have multiple profiles for different businesses?

One profile per phone number. If you genuinely run multiple businesses, the cleanest approach is to use the Company feature — verify one business, then link it to a Company where each business is a member with the verified badge.

What if my business title is taken?

Pick a near-variant. Business titles must be unique platform-wide and capped at 18 characters.

Does my profile show how many tokens I have?

No. Your token balance, purchases, and transaction history are private. Only you see them in your wallet.

Can someone find me by phone number?

No. Phone numbers aren't searchable. Other users find you by business title (in Search), by following, or by your shareable profile URL.

What does the verified badge actually mean to viewers?

It tells them 12sell has reviewed legal documents (trade license + owner ID) and the account represents a real registered business. Verified profiles also pass background checks for moderation issues. See Verification.
